You will read an email about a school exchange visit.
For the next 5 questions, answer A, B or C.
Hi Chloe
There was a talk at school yesterday about the exchange visit and everyone taking part was there. The teachers gave us a programme and, of course, lots of instructions! It won't be long until you're here and I can't wait to finally meet you.
When you’re here, we’ll go into school together each day. Most days you’ll come to my lessons but there are a few organised trips like a city tour and a river trip. Anyway, I expect your teachers have told you all about those.
I live some way from school and usually get a train about eight in the morning. I cycle to the station because it’s about twenty minutes' walk. Do you mind cycling? We have a spare bike you can borrow if you want. If not, we can both walk to the station.
Most evenings I have to do homework but on Friday we can meet up with some of my friends and their exchange partners. It’ll be fun – my friend Tash has asked everyone round to a party!
If you’re tired at the weekend, you can have a rest or we can do something with my family. Or if you prefer, we can go into town and do some shopping. Anyway, you don’t have to decide now.
See you soon.
Sara

Hi Chloe,
There is a meeting about our school exchange today and everybody is going. The teachers are giving us a programme and lots of instructions! When you arrive here we’ll go to my school together almost everyday. You also have some organised trips, for example, a city tour and a river trip.
I live far from school and I get the train everyday at eight in the morning. I go cycling to the train station, it’s about 20 minutes. Do you like cycling? I have a bike for you if you like cycling. We can also go walking to the train station, don’t worry.
In the evening I have to do my homework but on Friday we can meet and go out with our friends. My friend Tash is organising a party for everyone on Saturday. When we are tired we can stay at home and be with my family watching TV or relaxing on the sofa. We can do lots of things.

Prueba PIRLS 2011 sin adaptar.

The GianT Tooth Mystery
A fossil is the remains of any creature or plant that lived on the Earth many, many years ago. People have been finding fossils for thousands of years in rocks and cliffs and beside lakes. We now know that some of these fossils were from dinosaurs.

Long ago, people who found huge fossils did not know what they were. Some thought the big bones came from large animals that they had seen or read about, such as hippos or elephants. But some of the bones people found were too big to have come from even the biggest hippo or elephant. These enormous bones led some people to believe in giants.
